By Bus

If you are from Kuala Lumpur, in order to get to Tioman, you can take a bus from Pudu Raya bus station to Mersing. It is a journey of 6 hours. Express buses that ply the route from Kuala Lumpur-Tioman is TRANSNASIONAL and Sutera.

A one-way ticket to Mersing should cost RM29.80. As for travelers from Singapore and Johor, Larkin can get your bus tickets from the station, Johor Bahru. The journey from the station Larkin took 2 ½ hours.The express bus routes operating in Johor Bahru to Mersing is CEPAT EXPRESS, EXPRESS SS and Johara. A one-way ticket to Mersing in Johor Bharu should cost around RM13.00-RM26.00.

DRIVE

If you're driving from Kuala Lumpur, Yong Peng exit and then drive to continue until it reached Kluang and Mersing.

Kluang come within a 5 ½ hours by car. If you are driving from Johor Bharu, Skudai taken out and go straight to Kota Tinggi and continue until you reach Mersing. Is about 3 ½ hours to reach Mersing from Johor Bharu.

Once you have arrived at Mersing, there are several ways that can reach the island of Tioman. Travelers can choose to use the boat or ferry. Speed boats are faster and the journey will take about 55 minutes to 1 1 / 2 hours.

Whereas the ferry takes about 1 ½ hours to 2 hours. The mode of transport differ in travel time, depending on sea conditions of the day. For your information, ferries and speedboats either leave Mersing Jetty (from Johor), or Tanjung Gemok  Jetty, (from Pahang).
