Juara Village
This village is tucked
away on the east coast of the island, making it furthest and one of the
most idyllic beaches in Tioman. It is also the only bay which faces the
open South China Sea. The seclusion makes JUara ideal for honeymooners
or those seeking a perfect hideway. Two rivers, the Mentawak and Barok
flow from Mount Kajang to this village.
Juara is the point of
exit ( or entry ) for the cross-island Tekek-Juara trail. It is also
the start-off point to climb the Mount Kajang. The village has several
sundry shops and restaurants.
