Tekek Village This is the main entry point to Tioman Island from air and sea. It is also the largest town and the administrative center of the island. There are government offices, police station, clinic and school. There is the one and only bank in Tioman located here opposite Tioman Airport. This bank open from Monday till Friday, 9.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m. Close on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. However the ATM machine works 24-7 and accept VISA creditcard and debitcard and other MEPS bankcards. Tekek has the longest beach of the island, about 2 km long. Facilities for tourists include chalets, restaurants, souvernir shops, dive operators, internet service and moneychanger. Even though the beach is not as beauty as other village's beach, its still best place for you to stay here. There are some reasonable price of chalets for backpackers. Cheap chalet can be found at Babura Sea View, Coral Reef, Swiss Cottage, Sri Tioman and Tekek Inn. In Tekek or Kampung Tekek also have Diving Center that offered reasonable price with best service they could. Reasonable price for Open Water Diving Course and license also available here.
